Let's Talk About Me
Let's Talk About Me
All stories start somewhere, and mine started in Texas. I'm a Dallas native who can't stand the heat. At 18, I left for the swamps of Williamsburg, Virginia, where I attended The College of William and Mary.
One English and philosophy double-major later, I had a collection of short stories from my honors thesis, itchy feet, and a recommendation from a professor to read The Essentials of Screenwriting by Richard Walter. I packed up my car for Colorado; three days of driving later I had a plot and my first screenplay was well underway.
Meanwhile, my brother and I founded Telluride Festivarian, a magazine that covered the many annual events of Telluride, Colorado. As editor-in-chief and lead designer, I found myself neck-deep in the intersection of branding, marketing, and storytelling, and the problems of creating processes and iterating on them.
Nowadays I'm living in Boulder, Colorado, a gray hair older, tackling the challenges of managing the production of cool stuff while also keeping the creative flame alive.
